American Independence Day...

The things we do that keep us from being with our Patrol.

Postby moore_rb » Sat Jul 04, 2015 10:05 am

Enjoy your celebrations, beer, barbeques, and fireworks this 4th of July !

And please, take a brief moment to reflect on the fact that there is probably someone in your family, at some point in the past, who spilled blood (or died), fighting for your right, and your freedom, to enjoy that hot dog... Please celebrate in honor of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. They are our most cherished and noble personal rights, and they will always be worth fighting for... :occasion-unclesam:

That is all.

No Need for a new thread on this topic, this one from 2015 continues to work nicely...

Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow- Please read my first post, and then post up how you plan to celebrate tomorrow... For me, it's easy- My day will go like:

1) Wake up, make coffee
2) put beer on ice, put brisket in smoker
3) fix El Bondo Patrol's broken door handle- post pics
4) sit in pool, start taking beer off ice, one at a time....
5) eat barbeque, lecture teenagers about what it TRULY means to be free (YES- I am "that uncle" - The one who just gets smarter and smarter, with each beer he drinks    )
6) try to stay awake while kids and guests light off fire crackers
6) drink last beer, and crash

America, Baby.... :occasion-unclesam:
