Hello. Let me introduce my Austin Gipsy 1962. This car is of my Dad since 1967. Last year He transfered to me after restoration. I Born in 1971 and my oldest syster is 1969, so my Mother was drove 4 times to the hospital to have the Babys........ I learnt to drive in this car when I was 11. The most important since 8 years old I loved went to work with my Dad to the farm on Tractor and Machinery Mechanics jobs. I recive the best instruction from the best teacher. Today I work for Oil Services Company but by sure all that learnt with him in the Austin has been Key to my success on Profesional Live. ( I am Mechanical Enegineer too but, think the Mecahnical Job marks difference today) During one Year 3 people (Body expert Painter and Helper) worked just on this car. During my rest time I worked on Mechanical and Electrical.
Now the car as my Nissan Patrol Yellow 1964 has special plates (or register) for ANTIQUE Car. I had to import parts from UK, USA, Canada, Netherlands.

Please keep updated with a dedicated forum topic dedicated to the 2017 Colombian Patrol Rally so I (we) can plan ahead. I'm meeting my oke buddy Adolfo Montoya from Medellin in New Orleans later this month to start the planning.

Beautiful work Raul. This is certainly a unique vehicle, and thanks for posting here!

But most of all, you are a very talented guy with your restorations, and your dad certainly took very good care of the Gypsy and in the process instilled you the love for old vehicles. What a wonderful story behind this vehicle. You should be very proud of your dad and your work.
