Greeting Patrol Enthusiasts Worldwide,
I am selling my 62 Patrol. It is a no expense spared rebuild. It was not a frame off. It was just a rebuild of every component except the motor and transmission. The motor has spec compression and it easily took me to 12,500' last summer. The weak points are the sheet metal, paint and interior. The sheet metal was repaired from rust prior to painting. New Troa pans were welded in across the front floorboard. The exterior was professionally painted. I am not aware of anything that doesn't work. All known upgrades were included, all systems new or rebuilt, to name a few; MBC, wheel cylinders, bearings axles, SS brake lines, water pump, fuel pump, oil pump, hoses, radiator recore, relined fuel tank etc.
Search "Green Machine" on the forum browser and the lengthy build photos are there.
The front bumper and PTO will be replaced by a stock new bumper unless a buyer surfaces quickly. Otherwise the PTO will be going to my 66 Patrol. Perhaps the soft top will as well?
If you are interested I will show you the spreadsheet on it. It resides in Lake City CO, but I maybe bringing it back to Texas in May.
I have one interested party but timing is everything. I have over $30,000 in the 62 Patrol. Maybe $3-5k of that was improper mechanical the first time so I had it redone by a better mechanic. Though lessons learned from the 65 Presidio Patrol was incorporated in this re-build.
I will sell it away reasonably but not give it away unreasonably. It is a wolf that needs new skin to be good until the next ice age....which is what I'm experiencing now that my wife knows I have four Patrols.
I look forward to your messages.
