Technically not a breakdown as it made it halfway back in the driveway after the 30 mi or so trip through the monsoon. But certainly out of character.
RP - can you say a bit more about why the flame thrower coil is a marginal idea and what problems might develop. It’s the coil that Petronics recommends with the sensor unit, but I’m thinking it’s total overkill for the P engine. I was an automotive engineer out of college and hotter spark does not equate to better combustion. Once ignited, which does not take much energy - but the timing must be perfect - the combustion process proceeds on its own.
