Mind you, when we went to get the Patrol we had 3 adults, 4 mounted 9.5 30 15's that I was clearing out of the shop, 100lbs of tools, and a gas can strapped to the roof of a subaru forester with 274,000 miles on it. We stopped in about 60 miles in and shed the tires on a guy building a pre-runner. Then we stopped at my buddies shop and grabbed a huge industrial battery to run the winch on the trailer. Ran up to said shop owners house, threw every thing in a 15 passenger van (at this point we are over passengered for the truck) hooked up the trailer and headed farther in to the hills. We made quick work getting it on the trailer as the property owner had a polaris ranger with a hitch to drag it out with, so we just had to drag it up the trailer with the winch.

Image Yeah it is the original complete with name and dealer. Only 2 service stubs pulled.

There is some really sad water damaged stuff in this rig

There is another spare fuel pump besides that one.

Oh and it has these fender tanks in both front fenders, but I didn't get keys for them. Front door and ignition Key match, and the rear door, and gas cap are a match.

Found 2 more manuals in there, surprisingly one is in fairly good shape.

Someone loved that Patrol at one time. Some very cool finds there with the literature, and parts. I've never seen fender tanks on a Patrol, very cool. Yes, the Patrol is aptly named. Makes me shudder just thinking about the cleanup. :scared-yipes:

Nice - that Marks 5-speed looks really clean. Sometime ago, someone loved this ride...would have cost them a packet !

and those fender tanks are awesome - I've planned ways to use the wasted space in the rear arches but never thought of anything like that !

cheers,

Awesome finds! Congratulations. This is certainly a very unique find.

I will open the doors and just use a pressure washer all over.

Nice find, but it must have a real funk about it? Did you make sure not to bring the rats home with you? Thats a nice tow truck you got!
