The original material was felt strips, similar to the strips that run between the frame rails and the floor pan, which you can get in several sizes from Grainger:

But when I did one of my Patrols' fuel tank, the idea of felt (a material that absorbs and holds water) next to a steel gas tank seemed odd; so I used rubber strips taken from an old serpentine belt:

Nice that you're finally able to give your Patrol some love. Sorry to hear about the back.

The seal on the front of the rear diff and the two transfer output seals are the same seal. Ron has been able to find them on eBay, they're probably listed on the compatible parts list. Warning: they often still leak even after replacing the seal.

Charges, need to find the oil pressure sending unit, and fix the broken wire to the temp sender.

also need to find an air cleaner that fits, and a fuel sending unit.

Temp gauge works.
Showing a pulse going to the fuel sender, is that normal?

So I have no oil pressure sender, need to address that. The isolator on the hot side stud on the fuel sender is mia. So I am going to mount the tank to the rotted skid and run it for now.
Picked up some fuel tank mounting gasket (split in half it's enough for 4 1/2 mounting jobs)

Cleaned up and rattle canned the skid

Set the tank in

now I'm off to get a couple washers.

You'd be surprised how nasty those tank skid plates can get and yet still hold up a full gas tank. :?

So I got the turn signals working right. The left front pin plugs were swapped, and the park side of the bulb didn't have enough draw to fire the flasher correctly. Got the horn working, just had to clean up both sides of the contact spring and plate. Then made 3 new isolators out of 5/16 fuel line. Two of the three bakelite pins have one side broke off so I'm running on borrowed time on those. Only have the high side horn, so he sounds a little squeaky, there is a long tuba looking aftermarket horn under there I'll see if I can free up. Need to do something about the throttle linkage, I think it is a bastardized combination of cable and rod set ups. Seems all the wiring that is chewed up is stuff that was added, harness seems to be in good shape.
