Nice work! I want a shop where I can pull mine apart and work on it when I feel like it!

I haven't posted in a long time but that doesn't mean I haven't been working on Desert Rat. I finished up on the rear tub metal replacement then dropped it off at the bodyshop for some metal messaging. This thing was so bad I just didn't have the time or patience to get it laser straight. I also did some body work on the doors and had to weld up a ton of holes that were not supposed to be there. I just this yesterday sand blasted, straightened and filled the left step just need to paint black. I decided to have a local body shop do the final paint as I don't want to bring on too much heat from my home owners association.

I saw you used 343219 KYB shocks on all 4 corners. Are you happy with the fitment? Would they work with a 2" lift?

That is a good question. I used the KYB's as they are pretty much the same length and size as the originals. Not sure if they would have enough travel for a 2" lift.

Pretty cool find. I was in Huntington beach going to a car show on the pier. I was looking for a parking spot a couple blocks up from the beach. I made a turn to pull onto a spot and there in front of me was this Patrol. A little worse for wear but hopefully it will get restored one day.

That one is "leave a note on the window" worthy. It needs to be put to good use! Maybe it is already, hope so.
