Rob,
I'm sure it will turn out perfect whatever color you choose but I found the best "finished" look really plays off the canvas top and seat cover color.

Choose wisely grasshopper!

Patrolling again soon,

Yeah, ummmmm..... No. Nothing going on with this project.

it's HOT... really hot. Phoenix Arizona hot. :happy-sunshine:

I did, however, get to swap another engine into my daughter's little race Miata last week. (That's the second Miata engine in 6 months, for those of you keeping score)

I told her that was the last "dad freebie" - The next one: She's paying standard shop rates. 8-)

Is she at least winning those races? ;-)
The boys and I have talked about buying something to race... Now we're thinking of finding something to electrify!

She's mostly just hot-lapping for time. However, the kid treats the accelerator pedal more like an "on/off switch" when she's out there.

Hey, at least you're getting some use out of that new shop.
Beyond any hope for intervention

Don't all race drivers only use a throttle on/off switch? ;-)

I think you should share some pics of the car

It's been slow going on my 62 Project, but I did spend the day today working on the donor body- specifically breaking down the soft top frame (and snapping just about every bolt along the way... )

Toughest part was getting the frame loops out of the anchor sockets that are bolted into the rear of the tub... They were completely rust-welded together, and It took a lot of heat from the torch; but they finally broke free and slid out of the tub

I'm probably going to drill out the cage nuts with the broken bolts, and then tack weld in some permanent nuts, Because I want the top and frame to be able to go on and off this truck just as easily as it did in 1962...

One (very) nice surprise was that the windshield, hood hinges and side vents were not rust-welded at all.. all of them swung very easily after just a light shot of WD40.

I hope to be ready to rust treat this body , and have it sanded (yuck) and in primer by the time our spring temps start climbing...
