When I was a kid, all the service stations had centerpost hydraulic lifts like that. Don't see them around much any more. They would require a pretty big hole in your garage floor, for sure!
I want to get a 4-post lift, but have to raise up my garage to be able to get the cars up high enough to walk under them......not enough head room now. Get everything off the walls and out of the attic area between the trusses, jack up the garage, and add two or three more rows of concrete block to what the garage is sitting on now. The getting everything out of the garage is the big job.
