From what I can recall, we've never addressed the rubber mounts before. It certainly will help to get a good idea of the thickness of each one.

By looking at the parts manual, there are different part numbers for the thick rubber shims (as they're called in the manual). And to compound the issue, from 1977 and up, they modified them slightly. At least that parts manual will give you an idea of which ones are supposed to be the same and you can judge which ones are showing more wear.
------------------------------------
From Feb-77
This is the page of the online parts manual for vehicles built after Feb-77:
http://www.carpartsmanual.com/nissan/pa ... rom-feb-77

They changed to round shape (as in your picture)
From what I'm reading, all the 10 main rubber mounts for the body to the chassis are the same (for 77 and up). In another Parts Manual I'm reading 10.5mm (0.41" or ~7/16" for practical purposes).
-------------------------------------
Earlier models
Please note that the manual states up to May-77 so there was an interval of time where both models were being produced!
http://www.carpartsmanual.com/nissan/pa ... /to-may-77

These are square shaped.
There are 2 of one thickness for the radiator grill body mount, and 8 of a different thickness for the rest of the main body mounts.
------------------------------------
In addition to these, additional flatter shims are under the tub.

Please send us the measurements of your body mounts.

thankyou esteban! really appreciate the reaserch you out in for that reply, thats a really good referance for anyone doing a complete build who might find the same thing as i did

yeah it looks like the best thing for me to do is to go get 10 made, ill go 10-12mm and just see how i go, will obviously keep everyone updated, i had alot of play in the back corner of the tub, couldnt pinpoint the cause i thought it was the tub itself, now im thinking it was the mount...there are also the rests underneith the tub in the middle,..this brings me to my next question....
when i took my cab off, ontop of the chassis rails where the main supports sit i had ‘packing’ under there that the cab was resting on, mine was timber, proberly about 12-14 inches long, has anyone replaced these when putting the can back on? just wondering what the best material would be..

thanks again! shayn

thanks, nah im not a fan of bodylifting, too many other issues, and as you mentioned in another post a factor in bodylifting a 60 is where the steering colum goes through the firewall, not sure if fhat would have much play, and im not chasing big lift anyway.

on another note, i dropped off my brakelines to be made up on my way home today. progress!

Great information Esteban! Guess I never paid much attention to them or assumed time had flattened them.

Shayn - You're absolutely right about the steering column vs firewall issue. On mine there is a huge gap there, I haven't been able to find anything suitable to plug it up with. I get fumes from the engine compartment in through there, and massive amounts of heat from the extractors. But hey, it just goes along with the rest of the charm of driving the ute. :D

I don't recall seeing any type of brand name on them. I do know they are water cooled, and leak.
