Phoenix Patrol Build Forthcoming

Builds, refurbishments, restorations, upgrades

Postby L60Boerne » Fri Jun 05, 2020 6:51 am

Greetings,

Raul has been working overtime to ship my soft top and frame. He thinks my package will go out very soon.

Here is my soft top and what we can expect once installed. I do think my blue is a little deeper than this this example.

Patrolling with patience,
L60Boerne

Agree- I think the one in Raul's picture is 562 Turquoise blue.

Nevertheless, that color vinyl will look awesome on yours, and should look sharp with the tan seats... :handgestures-thumbup:

Now, {ahem}... about those wheels...

and, I see the question about whether or not your rear fenders were cut underneath those plastic flares, has also been settled... ;)

It's going to look awesome. I'd be proud to drive it. Maybe not what you envisioned, but neither is 2020. 8-)

Greetings,

The interior paint from Nick's Auto is terrible but the blue is growing on me.

Soft top arrives soon as do bushings from down under.

The best thing I've done is loosen the nuts with an impact driver so if I ever need to change a tire in the field I can.

Bumper goes on tommorow but Ready with the Wrench Rene will put on the PTO once in Lake City.

Patrolling with Phoenix Patrol soon,
L60Boerne

I am getting more jealouser by the day. That is a sweet looking rig. I'd still take the Bronco, but I would sell it and buy three Patrols! :P But yah, get some repro. tail lights off of EBAY.

I may have the windshield latches that mount to the hood if you don't.

Thanks to all so in reply,

Plateaucal - The hood latches are at the chrome shop with the side view mirrors. Ouch...can't go there very often.

Rob and Plateaucal - So the 66 is supposed to have the horizontal rectangle type rear lights? If so, I'll get them and have them put on in Lake City. Let me know.
