That's a heck of a bumper! Did you put new springs on this rig?

Greetings,

Given the 4th in Lake City is out we will be trailering Phoenix Patrol up the Ozarks west of Hot Springs for a rumble around the Quachita Mountains. I'll return to trails run twenty years ago bear hunting at the hands of this Native American women who taught me the ropes. Good black bear up there don't ya know.

I just hope I can have it in ready. It just needs a week of mechanical that I hope started this morning at 7 am with Eddy the Eagle. Leaking seals, PTO and hand brake are the order of the week. No progress on that yet but it needs to happen this week. Then hopefully soft top and a bit of chrome next week...then suspension before or after the Quachita rumble through the backwoods.

Patrolling soon in Phoenix Patrol,
L60Boerne

Well done. That is an epic restoration and the wheels work.

They do look more "at home" with the ginormous front bumper.

The freed up floor space in my garage thanks you, David... ;)

Greetings Patrollees Worldwide,

I had to move shops today :snooty: as the one shop had too many projects in front of mine but a great shop...like a mini Phantom Works. Anyway, I talked a great mechanic, whom normally doesn't accept older vehicles, into replacing the seals and PTO shaft.

But that is not the reason for my post. The reason is because after I picked the 66 up from the shop I stopped to pick up the pieces I had chromed. FYI...don't do that...apparently chrome is the new gold.

Anyway, as I came out a guy in a big new truck just had to know all about it and try to make me an offer. I said no :hand: but forgot to tell him about my white 63. :violin:

Just saying these things are interesting.

Patrolling in Phoenix Patrol soon,
L60Boerne
