Vent Seals

Builds, refurbishments, restorations, upgrades

If anyone needs a COVID project and has a front windshield out please consider.

Laying it flat and filling one vent seal cavity with flex seal. Take it out..make a wood mold...then make a bunch of seals for us.

Patrolling for vent seals,

David,

Please take a look at this thread: Windshield Vents Gasket

viewtopic.php?f=23&t=2007&p=9657

I took a different approach, an it has worked really good.

Exactly what I did five years ago. Hardware store weather stripping. Get the soft stuff made of closed cell foam. About 1/4" wide maybe 1/8" thick. Works great! Just try to center it under the lip of the vent door. Use a pencil to mark around your vent door for alignment.

Thank you Plateucal, I did see that thread and was aware of it. I will order some as per Esteban's direction. I still want to find out just what that "flex seal" can do. L60Boerne

It may take some experimentation. I stuck my windshield vent seals to the window frame and the fender vent seals to the doors. Not sure why? I think some day I will change the windshield vent gasket to be like the ones shown in the link. Some day............
