I have been trying to figure out what is the correct points part number for my 1967 Patrol with the waterproof wires (they screw on to cap). Any help is appreciated.
The forklift didn't have the water protect distributor, so those points wouldn't work. The water protect points have been unavailable for a long time, they show up on eBay once in a rare while. The Pertronix seem to fry easily, especially if the ignition is left on otherwise they're pretty reliable. You could go with a non-water protect fork lift distributor, but the Pertronix would be the more economical route.
Well, I took some out of one of those last year when I upgraded it to an electronic starter. I'm going to the barn next week. Maybe I can find them. It is possible. I'll put it on my list.

I might also have a set of points for the WP distributor... Will look for them the next time I'm out in the garage digging through Patrol parts.

I also can probably scrounge through my parts and find a set or two. I have several NOS condensers also if needed. My 1964 Datsun L320 pickup with Four cylinder 1200cc E1 Engine uses the same points. They may be easier to locate that way, rather than searching Patrol parts. Mild Bill
