Can anyone tell me if this looks like the correct regulator for the late Patrols with and alternator?

It looks like it is for a 1971 or later, but would it work?

It probably can work, although there are more affordable options, like this:

ACDELCO E660C at Rockauto with the same type connector, for a 1972, 620 Datsun (Nissan) pickup.

In fact, any regulator can work. It’s only a matter of matching the terminals. I’ve veen doing that since many years ago, when I abandoned the generator for good.

I use this other regulator, with a Ford type connector:

Voltage Regulator: Use Ford Bronco 1985 to find various alternatives Also: STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS Part # VR166T at Rockauto.com @ $12 ea.
Connector: same search as above, in “Connectors” Standard Motor Products S94

I have the diagram for the connections of the Ford type if you need.
