I read today that you only need to grease shackles if they are metal to metal. That is the metal shackle pin is touching metal in the bush.
So when your bushes are polyurethane like these
you don't need to grease the shackle pin.
But when the bushes are polyurethane with metal inserts you need to grease the shackle pin.
So in my case looking at the REAR springs, the front shackle uses the metal inserted bush so it needs grease.
The bottom rear uses the non-metal bush so it doesn't need grease but the top shackle pin has a metal only bush so it needs grease.
All this sounds reasonable.
Thoughts????? Any consequences of greasing the non-metal bush?
