Headlights and taillights not working

Flames? Lights wiring, alternator/generator, etc.

My lighting system stopped working. All the fuses I can find (fuse block) are okay. Auxiliary lights work fine. 4ways work also. I checked for power at the headlight switch and nothing. All relays have power to them and using my horn, it seems that all relays are operational. Is there another fuse or something that is hidden somewhere?

Thanks

Steven, you should have power at the headlight switch all the time. If you have a voltmeter or a test light, try to check at both sides of the corresponding fuse for continuity. Check this at the screw terminals. I've had instances in the past that the fuse is ok, but the contacts that hold the fuse have develop some corrosion and no continuity.

Use a fine grit sandpaper to polish a bit the contacts that hold the fuse in place. Hope this is all your problem.

Thanks. They were corroded and had a voltage drop. When I took the fuses out to clean, the metal ends fell off. There was the other issue. Found replacements and we are good to go. Kudos.
