P-40 distributor adaptation

Won't run? Engine, cooling system, fuel pump, carb, clutch, tranny, brakes, etc. The old messages from the NPCA 'Engine & Mechanical' category are here.

The drive pinion that moves the oil pump at the bottom and the distributor at the top, goes first.

After that you put the base (center in the picture). The top part of the drive pinion will come throughout the hole of the base, and the distributor will fit in the slot of the drive pinion.

Try seating the new distributor over the base. It should go easily. It doesn’t come out at the bottom.

Just hope the single malt I had a few minutes ago is helping me with this explanation.
