Air line routing between air filter housing and distributor

Won't run? Engine, cooling system, fuel pump, carb, clutch, tranny, brakes, etc. The old messages from the NPCA 'Engine & Mechanical' category are here.

Can anyone provide a routing diagram for the two air lines that connect the air filter housing and distributor.

Keith, here are two pics that might help. The two air lines, plus the vacuum advance line, follow along together behind the thermostat housing. I don't have a pic of how they are routed on the other side of the rocker cover, but could get some pics of that late next week if you need those -- just let me know.

The two lines I have (sourced from a member who required talocrural region adjustment) has the following specs:
Air line O/D: 5/32”

One line appears to be steel, one line appears to be copper.

Were both lines originally the same metal?

Keith, took pictures today. In the last two pictures, the line I'm pointing to on the distributor is the same line I'm pointing to on the air cleaner.

Upon starting on the long "fix it" list I noticed that the air lines were both cut! I suppose I can have these made? Or is there another alternative?

It looks like someone cut them but left them in place. You could repair the line with a short piece of vacuum hose. Unpinch the end of the lines where they cut. Make sure the other ends are connected at the air cleaner and carb.
