Thanks for everyone's help!

From that picture RiverPatrol, it looks like they measure about 9.75 inches wide and 9.75 in length, is this right? if im not please correct me (possibly in Millimetres) my eyes might be lieing to me :-P Also they look like NOS, how did you find those gems?

Thanks for the link Zed, Do you know if they are the same ones used on the patrols or just very similar? Whats the story behind the two different lengths?

Also Does anybody Know the rubber material thickness? and would it be possible to get these measurements aswell? in Millimetres? .. ( image below )

Thanks for the Help!! this forum is great! :)

Also where did they mount from factory? my patrol has two pieces of Angeline that clamp together, I saw on Nissan Australia G60 it looks like the mount higher up

Thanks

Factory mudflaps were never available for the US Patrols. As far as I can tell from the available brochures they started showing up in the 70's, maybe '77ish. Typically mudflaps mount sandwiched between two metal plates. How these mounted to the frame or body is better researched in a country that had them available. Neither of my two imported trucks had the factory mudflaps. The Australian ute has mudflaps but the mount was obviously added by a previous owner.

Yes these are NOS factory mudflaps. I don't recall exactly where I got them, maybe About-Time-Spares.

G Wiz!
Thanks for those! Ill do a post and let you know how i go when i make some, Yeah i have been trying to figure them out, i know my "Gusty" advert is from 1975, and the patrol looks about that year too. It also has factory mud flaps, ive yet to see them on a 1960s model, My guess is they were added to G60s in the 73' update where they changed the guards etc, i have only ever seen them on Australian Models as well, Mostly on tub Utes, i know Nissan Australia's SWB has some too, they look slightly longer though (Pic below)... Maybe your NOS flaps where the ones that mounted to bit of sheet metal where the full length exhaust used to poke out (like in your advert) I asked an older bloke who used to Sell G60s back in the late 60s' early 70s' he said he remembered them and was pretty sure they were standard. As for were they mount i will have to inspect further on my patrol... :eusa-think:

Thanks for your help :)
