Multi-Gauge Repair/Rebuild

Got rust? Seats, panels, doors, windows, etc. The old messages from the NPCA 'Body & Interior' category are here.

My multi-gauge is looking pretty ragged and I'd at least like to get it mostly working/looking good again if I do it myself, have it repaired if it's not too expensive, or just replace it outright with a working unit. so a few questions:
1. Has anyone rebuilt their gauges themselves? Any tips/tricks/etc?
2. If anyone has a recommendation on a shop that'll do it I'd appreciate it
3. Is anyone selling one?

Depending on the condition of the gauges themselves it looks like you only need to repair/replace the face plate. If you replace the whole cluster keep in mind you need to stick with '68 or '68 because that's when they required a regulator thats elsewhere in the dash wiring harness.

I remember someone refinishing their gauges. I cannot find the post but it turned out real nice.

Any idea (other than the classifieds here) where they can be purchased? That'd be perfect for my needs.

Thanks! I PM'd him.

I don't think I've ever seen just the faceplate available, but if you can find an inexpensive cluster with a decent one you can swap it over.
