Removing wipers

Anyone here know the best way to remove the wiper assembly from the windshield frame? I am unsure whether to pop apart the ball joints or the splines. Any help would be gd

Separating the ball joints shouldn't be difficult. The socket part is plastic and will come apart. Once all the connecting parts are out, you can take the axles of the wipers out.

You can look at how the wiper axles or rods look like when they are out:
