Gleason Torsen Locker

Well, I don't know what's next. I asked Gleason about an application for this axle and they sent me this: "Thanks for your interest in Torsen. I am not aware of an obsolete application for the C216 axle, though that does not mean it didn't exist. However, we do not have any current aftermarket products for Nissan/Datsun applications."

Now I've got a broken Patrol and need a locker(?) I see the Torsens on Ebay selling for $1500+. Man, in my day I thought they were high at around $400-$500.

Does anyone know if the carriers will switch out between the front and rear? If I could find an open differential, and they will fit, I could put the good locker in the back and the open diff in the front. I hate to go backwards, but a man's gotta get his Night Patrol back out on the trail. It has 4.10:1 gears.

Certainly is a puzzler. The carrier is the same front and rear, you should be able to put the front one in the rear.
