Brilliant! I just love how you would never find this in a travel brochure and the average person would see it as a disaster and end their travels. I love how you have mad an opportunity out of it and come out with a smile. Well done guys

Still one of the best reads around... :handgestures-thumbup:

The engine work looks awesome -

And, a very cool way to be bringing another pair of fellow Arizonans into the Patrol community! Welcome!

Thanks a lot! Very happy that you have enjoyed it! It's been great having this forum with us the whole trip. And with a perfect ending too, since Travis and Tarah are going to carry on.

Thanks! Saw the questions, will answer soon. Looks like some good ideas :)

But just out of curiosity: how did you find the story?

Honestly I was just searching for some good Patrol forums and found this one and then just happened to come across your thread while I was poking around the forum a bit. :)

Hey All, this is Travis the new owner of Nicolanders' Patrol. I just thought I'd post a quick reply to introduce myself and thank Nicolanders for all of their dedication to the Patrol.

As you can tell from their detailed posts, Nicolanders was very diligent about getting the repairs done! Wow, after reading through many of their posts throughout the past year, I am amazed they are still sane after all the repairs! They did a great job at getting all the repairs done which we mutually agreed upon. It was a HUGE help to us while we were in the United States preparing for our journey down to South America. Thank you!

A little about me... I was born in Abu Dhabi, UAE and grew up in Phoenix, AZ. I'm traveling with my girlfriend and we plan to drive as much of South America as possible, without rushing. We arrived into Medellin on January 22nd with the plan to spend the following four months driving SA. Upon arrival, I worked with Anders for the following week on the Patrol until he decided to head to Cartagena (good luck brotha!). Since that time I have been giving the Patrol some more TLC. I'm dedicated to getting her running and looking her best. As you know, Anders helped me with a lot of the mechanical repairs before our arrival and over the past month I have been making some non-mechanical upgrades.

Over the next week or so I will post some pictures and fill you in on what's been done. I just wanted to say hi to all of you and thank Nicolanders for all their dedication to the Patrol.

Best, Travis

Hi Travis! Welcome to 60Patrol! :text-welcomewave:

Thanks for checking in and giving us an update. i hope that you start a new thread and keep us posted on your adventures with this Patrol. You will be the third adventurer to do so.

With the excellent attention Anders gave this Patrol with the best mechanics available, the truck should give you little to worry about on your journey. Happy travels!
Beyond any hope for intervention
