How about we start a survey on miles driven on a single trip from point A to Z. Brian Kippen is driveing from Fort Worth Texas to Berkley Calif. which is over 1200 miles. He belives he will break any single trip record.
Post the number of miles driven your longest trip. This can be fun!!

I'm assuming we're talking about trips in a 60 patrol ?

...and in one stint between sleeps ?

Either way, 1200 miles beats me...I did 1400km last Friday but that was in a modern car - too easy. My best in an older car is about 1200km in a 510 wagon with a bit of unintentional drifting in the snow at the end - kept me awake, that's for sure !

Cheers,
D

Here in the States, I've done 200 miles in a day, going to Carlisle in Pennsylvania to a car show, and back home. On this trip I was constantly going between 60 - 65mph, and on one stretch, just to check, I went up to 78mph (gps tested) for some seconds. RPMs at that point were around 3700.

Before moving to the States, I did a number of trips of 365 miles on a single stretch.

The longest trip for me was 235 miles each direction, plus taking it out in the desert for some off roading.

Great stories, ive never done any long drives such as these, however I can say that Aussie member Ferdy, He drove From Sydney to Cape York and back again, each way it was 3,300km, then a return trip of 3,300

I drove my Patrol 240 miles from Hickory NC to Myrtle Beach SC, then turned around after about an hour and drove another 240 miles back home. But I was a lot younger then....... :D

The trip ended up being 1781 miles. 168 gallons of fuel. My best single day was 709 miles. Totally worth it.
