Good for Joe! It's always best to start out with the easy stuff. That helps them get used to using tools and being comfortable around vehicles. And I see he's got his steel toed sandals on.
It was a big day -- #4 arrived and #3 started it's long road (short road? Maybe?) to the scrap yard. We're making piles of stuff we (or someone else) may need and piles that are destined for the scrapyard and a smelter.
Number 4 Arrives!
Jay helps out taking out bolts with pneumatics!
I've never separated a body and frame... kind of fun!
'O man!..... ahem....family man! Post the "junk" please! What year is the scrap? Body stuff? Pics? I have so much Patrol stuff going on but I am thinking about my basketcase 62 softy.
Both donor patrols are '66 hardtops -- The first item in the give-away/scrap-heap is the back half of the green one. Much of the front sheet metal is probably going in that same pile -- it's all pretty ugly. I'll post pictures of all the "scrap" before I haul it off to make sure it has the chance to go to a good home first!
This is destined for scrap -- it's really rough
Once it comes apart, much of the front sheet metal will be scrapped
It's cold out there when you're undressed! Think of this poor '66, alone, out in the back yard with the family of vultures living in the house! It must be scary!
Here lie the bones, nearly picked clean...
And the vulture named Jay who did the damage
Of course, we've add a gargoyle for protection... Is that odd?
