Started pulling her apart today. Went ok but snapped a few bolts off. Rusty bolts are no fun.

Get used to the busted bolts, that's pretty common. You'll get pretty good at drilling them out eventually. ;)
Beyond any hope for intervention

i like PB Blaster for rusted bolts. heating with a torch, then cooling down with water works great too, but you have to be careful.

Paul,

Not to sure what the plans are for you SWB 60 Project Restoration, but if you decide to not use the original generator and would like to sell it please let me know.

On another note, I am not 100% sure but I would just like to point out I noticed your rear section of the chassis is bent or buckled. I highlighted the area with a red circle, can you confirm, I am not too sure if you have realised.

Cheers G60 mike

Hey guys. Yea I do know the rear section is pulled out. I will deal with it later. And yea restoring the Patrol is a big job but I love this stuff. It's my 55th car I've owned since I was 15. I have even restored a 57 BMW Isetta "urkle Car" talk about trying to find parts. I can say I have never done one where so many bolts have broken off. Not sure on the Generator yet but I'm leaning to using it.

Progress this week was removing the ugly roll bar and fuel tank. Tank came out without a hitch and seems to be in good shape. There was a gallon of 25 plus year old gas that looked and smelled like it was on its way to turning back into a dinosaur.
