1967 Family Patrol Project

Builds, refurbishments, restorations, upgrades

Yikes... :(

I would imagine the "movement" was actually the body being pushed backward. I doubt that the powertrain shifted much.

Sorry to hear about all the mishaps John. Not sure what I'm going to do when our oldest hits driving age next year.... I'm thinking maybe I'll just send her off to military-school, instead 8-)

I have a couple of updates --

First, Thanks River! My lovely wife picked up some parts from River over the Thanksgiving break... Now we can get working on Aerogirl again! Almost even the right color... almost!

Next, the carcass of my old Frontier went away today -- Kinda sad. We bought it when it had 9 miles on it. Today it has something like 165k or more! It was still running well until the teenager won! On the bright side, there is now actual room in the driveway for aerogirl!

Happy to get back to work on it... Body work and brakes!

Oh yea -- On a space related note. Is anybody interested in a set of split rims? Set of four. Need to be cleaned up, but they may even be originals... Hey River! Are these original Patrol split rims?

Shipping is probably a bear, but if you're interested, make an offer.

Yes, those are indeed original split rims. They even have the tabs for the mystical hubcaps.

It would seem that your teenagers are thinning your herd for you.

Happy Monday All!

I've been thinking about this for quite some time... We have way too many Patrols. It's gotten to the point where we have no real space to work on them... So I just ignore them while they stare at me through my office window!

If there is any hope getting Aerogirl repaired and back on the road in my lifetime, we need to cull the herd. Ultimately, we need a single Patrol and just the needed spare parts. All our other Patrol goodies should go to other good homes! I'm hopeful that this will get the ball rolling again and inspire us to get our Aerogirl project back on track!

Let me know if you are interested.

1967 Patrol Soft top OMG! Look at how young and small my kids were when we got our first Patrol!
1569
- Chevy V8 (no idea what displacement or condition)
- Chevy Engine to Patrol transmission adapter and engine mounts
- No transmission/transfer case (we used them in Aerogirl!)
- Damaged firewall -- whoever installed the V8 hacked the firewall to make it fit. I think they used an axe to do it! ;-)
- Replacement firewall (from the '66)
- Soft top frame including the over-door things
- No seats or dash
- Uncut fenders
- Tires probably have zero miles on them, but are flat and a million years old.
- Current CA Registration (Non-Op)

1966 Hardtop
4649
- Complete, but poor condition
- Engine appears complete but no valve cover... Will need lots of love!
- Stock 3-speed/Xfer Case, etc
- Seat frames (covers bad shape)
- Cut fenders
- Bill of sale only. Not registered.

1966 Hardtop - Frame and axles only
1903
(Firewall has since been removed and will be sold with the '67 soft top)
- This frame should go with the other '66 hard top
- Body panels are all gone.
- Matching VIN plate included
- Current CA Registration (Non-Op)

SPARES
- Rebuilt engine (0 miles -- SN matches the '67 hard top, have receipts)
- Resurfaced flywheel, rebuilt clutch, pilot, throwout bearing
- Gas tank (appears to be in very good condition... perhaps already cleaned and coated)
- Rebuilt E-Brake band & resurfaced e-brake drum
- Boxes of transmission/transfer case parts
- Windshield frame (no glass)
- 15" split rims (with hubcap tabs)
- Even more Patrol parts... but I need to open all the boxes to figure out what is there!

Check my gallery as I have posted pictures and the story behind just about everything listed here. Shoot me a note if you need specific pics or more info.

Thanks!

John

Hey amigo, id love to buy a transmission imput shaft off you that might work for a 69 patrol (want a dummy input shaft to start working on a pilot bearing repair), and if your gas tank is in good condition i'd buy that as well. I'm in wa state and shipping wouldn't be outrageous. What would you want for them?

I would be very interested in the gas tank. It's more than a long shot, but when you open up your boxes and 2 windshield wiper motors (singles) are there, please also keep me in mind. Also, any original extra seat belts. I just need the hardware so that I can run new webbing through then. I'll send you a PM. Don.
