My patrol is missing the firewall vin plate. A while back when I ordered a sticker pack one came with it but it's in Spanish. Does anyone have of know where to get one in English. Will need it to get it registered at the DMV.

I thought the vin plate was on the grill. I have vin plates and old titles, however, there are certain legalities you have to be careful with.

The VIN plate moved to the grill in '68, the the left B pillar in '69. Prior to that it was on the firewall.

Legalities be damned. There's always a way around DMV. Besides, the original VIN is still stamped on the frame. I've used that for verification before. Then other times I just don't inform them of that one when the VIN plate doesn't match the frame stamp. :shhh:

The legalities are that the vin plate and title must accompany the vehicle, or as I understand what is left of it and there ain't much left of the vehicles the plates came from.

Not in CA. They'd prefer that, but when old vehicles get restored things happen. :shifty: And certainly not when they get scrapped.

Make sure it for the correct year, they changed a bit over the years. The one for your '67 will be different than one for a '68 or '69.
