Yes, great news alright.
I'm no quitter, but I was wondering if I would need to walk away from it for a minute or two there.
Fortunately, I did not have to go the route of changing the gearing to compensate for the VFD's misgivings.

I pleased to have beaten the VFD, these units are quite daunting to laymen like me with no nerd DNA.
I was surprised when I purchased it how many folks ran a mile when I asked for help to get started.
I ended up going solo from the start but decided that if I took small steps and gained confidence and an understanding of how this gizmo works I maybe able to work my way thru it.

My biggest problem at the beginning was understanding the terms in the manual as I am no electronics or electrical expert by any means.
Also the terms used had been translated from Chinese to English so there was also the hesitation point as to whether the translation was accurate and also being a layman was my interpretation of what was being said was correct or just my interpretation...

I'd describe this adventure as character building.

I've just made a set of custom rollers to put a small lip around the end of a round tube such a s a radiator hose neck so the radiator hose will not slip off easily.
I really only made it because I see a use for it in the future and b=since I had the scrap material I thought I make them now ready for the time when I will need them.

My aim was to make the small roller as small in diameter as possible so as to increase my range of pipe size accessibility.
The diameter is just under 30mm so I can access most sizes of tube I feel that I would ever use.

Sorry, but I needed to turn the pic's on the side for the Forum wizard to accept them...

Excellent. Great to see it at work, and I’m sure you’ll use this specific application many times.

Thanks Esteban, It sure is nice to have all my teething issues behind me now.

I know my unit is probably a bit of an over kill, but if anybody is considering constructing something less complex, here is a link to a forum where they can see absolute simplicity at a very low cost I would imagine...

If anybody out there thinks they could help me as I am only a self taught home machinist, I seek a link that could help me get a handle how to machine custom bead rolls.

I know I made one already but that was touch and go as I kinder just did it by eye.

However if I need to make a certain sized bead and transfer that into reality what are the proper steps in achieving a nice curved inner and outer shaped roll that complies to dimensions???

I'm hoping we have a machinist out there who could offer some words of experience.

Coyote Patrol probably has some experience there. I think he might be on vacation right now.

That sounds promising Esteban, I look forward to reading words of wisdom from any experienced machinist.

Funny thing is at times I feel that the only active members on this forum are you and me... hahahaha!!!
