Thanks Trip, You had it in the right shape it just needed a few things. I still love that PTO winch as much as anything. It will be loaded it up next weekend for the summer in Lake City.
Patrolling again soon,

The winch was definitely a plus. I did have to fabricate the engagement handle assembly so prior to that it wasn't as fun to use. Great job and I'm so glad it is getting used.

Greetings to all,

I need to replace the steering box seals in my 63. Does anyone happen to know the size or source?

Patrolling in paradise,

David, I used this one from eBay:

Metric Oil Shaft Seal 32 x 45 x 7mm Double Lip

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Metric-Oil-Sha ... 2555197856

The original is 32 x 45 x 8mm. The above one worked really good. In a way it was better that the thickness was less, since it will avoid the area where the old seal left its mark.

All,

With your advice, parts and psychotherapy.....I will attempt a solo 12,800 ascent of Engineer's Pass, CO wednesday weather permitting.

Command and Control Vehicle 7 seems to be running very well and trips to 11,000 have been effortless.

I will turn around if it is not working. No need to to press a bad hand. Weather, road and traffic are perfect. It is nothing more than my high altitude driving skills and carburetion.

More to follow,

Greetings Patrol World.

Just a few notes from Lake City, CO. CCV7 performed perfectly on a 1 hr climb from 8700' to 12,000'.

Onto 12,800 tommorow.
