Here we go

New members, tell us about yourself and your Patrol. Don't be shy!

I just picked up a 67 Patrol last month. I have been in love with FJ40s forever and always planned on getting one. My wife is from Colombia and would always talk about her uncle's Patrol. I had never heard heard of a Patrol and assumed she didn't know what she was talking about. Last year I made it to a Barrett Jackson auction with some of my buddies. In between all the usual cars that frequent these shows I saw it for the first time, a Nissan Patrol. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen and I was smitten. It took me about a year to find one. My Patrol spent its life in Arizona so it is in pretty good shape rust wise. Everything else needs to be addressed. I have big plans and will definitely need this forums expertise. This is definitely going to be a project. Thank you.

Sorry, it is kind of in pieces. When I picked it up it hadn't run in 6 years. I rebuilt the carb, put in a new battery and swapped the fluids. I had it running good enough to feel comfortable proceeding so I have removed the windshield, bed, hood and all the small stuff. My plan is to remove the body so that I can have better access to work on the suspension, fuel system, brakes, and electrical from above!

Looks like a good project. Cool that you got it running already, that always gives confidence for the project.

Everything looks fine with your account, it doesn’t show it needs reactivating. The fact that you were able to post this indicates that everything is fine. Perhaps the device you are using is having issues? Try another browser, clear the cache. Otherwise I need something more specific to work with.
