Hello Zed, Will PM you. This link above is from Coker. I just called them. Am waiting to hear back. If this tire fits my split rims then I might pull the trigger on 4.

Dave

that is a good looking tire, mind me asking how much?

$124 each.

Zed did leave me a message though and said to be careful that these tires from COKER are not older and outdated. I will check that out before buying any.

Also,,,,,,,,,Do these wheels on my Patrol look stock from factory? The dates on there match my year ( 69 ).

Yes, those are the original stock rims.

Please understand, I am not inferring that Coker is selling "old" tires. I was told by Wallace Wade Tires in Dallas that Specialty Tires of America produces the tire in large batches. The inventory may be have been produced recently or, possibly some time ago.
Tires do age a result of UV exposure and other pollutants. As a general rule, I have been told that 7+ year old tires (radials and bias) should be replaced.

Yea, 7 years. That is what I have always gone by. I will check with Coker and let you guys know. If they have old one's I'll just make sure they sell me new ones.

I just bought some 7.00-15 Power King tires to use on my 1967 with split rims but I am starting to second guess my decision. I want to keep the look of my correct color matched split rims and was hoping to use a period correct looking tire too. But the top of the tread measures at 5 inches wide and I think I want something a little wider on the ground. Maybe some 30x9.50's

I think maybe you're just too used to seeing wider tires on off road vehicles. The stock tires were very narrow. Remember though, they weren't radials either. I've run 15 x 7.5 on one on the split rims and they perform just fine on and off road. Technically, with the split rims I think the narrower the better, less pressure on the lock ring.

Pressure on the locking ring is a concern that I was thinking about. I like the look of the tires that are currently on it, the top of the tread is about an inch and a half wider than the tires I got. I think the 30x9.50 might be closer to the width of my current tire. I am going to locate a good used one and do some test fitting.

Looks like the current tires are just under 7 inches on treadwidth and under 9 for a cross section. A set of 30x9.50's might work out okay.

Please note if you are worried about slipping on wet roads you MUST NOT purchase those Coker Military style tires. They are terrible on wet roads. We ran those back in the early 70s on our FJ. Lucky I am alive today to type this.
