What have you done to your 60 Series Patrol this week....

If it doesn't fit in the others but is 60 series related, post it up.

No projects as of right now for my patrol, except to make some good room in the garage for winter storage. Don't feel like bolting the top back on any time soon with a rollbar project in the future....

Only other thing I hopefully will do this fall winter is a small write up on a front brake pad re-bonding project I want to try....

There's a couple of good parts in the engine compartment. How does that kind of damage even happen to a Patrol? :o
Beyond any hope for intervention

It was used as a tractor to pull firewood logs out of the hills for many years. I pulled the non factory Toyota pickup seat out of it just so i could see the interior better. It was rolled at least once i was told. The remaining damage came from years of abuse pulling logs. It ran 10 years ago when parked where i saw it. And yes there are some useable parts that will be used on my Montana Patrol restoration. The owner was happy to see parts if it put to use in the restoration.

Is it too early to call dibs on any parts you don't need?

PetrolPatrol,

I love your battle damaged Patrol. It is much more fun to drive off road vehicles without worry for scratches and paint chips. It is really fun to revive them too. You get the satisfaction of seeing each new stronger than the last new breath it takes.

I need interior bits for now. Wiper motors, horn button, ashtray cover, whatever I'm missing in those two holes, rearview mirror, any passenger side mirror, and the rear seatback to a jump seat!

What year is your vehicle. Based on the picture, it shows only 2 window vents indicating 68-69. The seat backs are different for earlier years.
The hole furthest to the right is normally the heater switch. Is yours missing or do you have a heater?

So I started pulling parts off the Alberton gulch Patrol today. As I was pulling the headlight chrome rings off, I made a startling discovery..... both headlights were Koito headlights. :o :o :D :D . These were ever so gently removed from the vehicle and placed onto the restoration parts pile.

Not even sure why I hadn't checked these before I pulled it a couple hundred miles home???? It would have been a sad day had these gotten broken when I had a chance to use them on my Montana Restoration project.

Original seat belts- rusty and rotten webbing.... salvageable....will be restored for Montana Project
Hood emblem -very useable for Montana project
Grill cross bar- no rust will be used for Montana project

overall this vehicle was a great find for the restoration project.
