Reverse Idler bushing

Won't run? Engine, cooling system, fuel pump, carb, clutch, tranny, brakes, etc. The old messages from the NPCA 'Engine & Mechanical' category are here.

Hi all, currently in the process of stripping down g60 gearbox, to inspect, Clean and Re-race with new bearings, the reverse idler has movement, yet to fully remove it and measure the Pin and bush size, but does anyone know of a suitable replacement Bushing for this reverse idler if it doesn't check withing spec's (defiantly doesn't feel right) or does anyone have the dimensions to share for the original bushing size, many thanks G60michael

Michael,

I think that this bushing has never been covered before in this forum from what I can recall. I've never giving it too much attention the few times that I have serviced my transmission.

And difficult to come by with a dimension unless you take the worn bushing out. Certainly the parts manual has it as a part # 32283-44002. A quick search for it gave me a page from http://www.jointfuji.com/catalog/fuji_nissan.pdf, last updated in 2014, with part # FNP-205. Searching that part only goes to the webpage mentioned.

Personally, a little bit of play won't be of concern, unless the idler shaft where it runs shows some unusual wear.
