Alright... After a little more than 3 months I just got a call yesterday that said the springs will be here Friday. I'm excited to finally get the old girl back on the road! Hopefully I can knock it out this weekend.

A few questions for anyone with answers:
What swaybar links should I get for +2?
The parts page seems to be down, where can I find new brake lines?
Does Raul make the soft top as well or just the frame?

So as it turns out the weekend leaf spring project has turned into a 3 weekend endeavor so far with 3 leaf springs in. The front is completely done and I'll have the right rear done this weekend.

My brakes have been leaking and I took off the hub to see brake fluid all over my front shoes... I've found the ebay link for them from AUS. Will they fit my 63? it says 67-80 I believe.

Also I still don't have rear sway bar links that are long enough. Does anyone know the proper length needed like on the Green Machine? Speaking of Green Machine, who made those shackles? I might need some for the front since it seems as if the "+2" I received has quite the rake.

Three weekends? Sounds about right for a Patrol project.

The wheel cylinders will work for your '63.

Just finished the suspension! Got the hang of it just in time to never do it again. I love the height and the angle, but my front shackles are buckling under too much load which is super annoying. I'm hoping by adding a shackle an inch or two longer will be the cure. Otherwise I'm stoked with the result. Next are tires and top removal... after I clean the garage.

Where did your leaf springs come from? I don't see a longer shackle helping that situation any.

I got them from Atlas Suspension. In retrospect I probably should have used Alcan. I'm thinking of moving the whole bracket forward a little but. Thoughts?

It's almost as if the springs are too long. You shouldn't have to move the bracket.

Looks just like mine did when I got a set that were too long! I agree that longer shackles will not help. I have a full set of Alcan springs that do not fit my patrol correctly, maybe they would fit correctly on yours? I'd let them go for cheap just to get rid of them. PM me if you want to entertain the idea.

I'd rather have the front shackles lean too far forward, than too far back.

Yours shouldn't impact on-road drivability at all, and off road it will give you a little more droop-travel on the front axle (especially if you cut out and toss those silly factory drop-limiters ;) )

Nice Ride.

I would change those front springs sooner than later. With the shackle laid flat like that your spring will not be able to compress. Even though the shackle can continue to rotate past horizontal, the pin to pin length starts decreasing as it does. So instead of de-arching to absorb the bump, the shackle will force the spring to stop, then re-arch. The stresses on the spring and shackle will be way outside what any of your parts are designed for.
If you plan on going with longer shackles break down your spring packs, flatten your top spring, and make sure you still have forward travel on you shackle when your top leaf is flat.
