Photos of Seatbox

Got rust? Seats, panels, doors, windows, etc. The old messages from the NPCA 'Body & Interior' category are here.

Hi all,

I'm sure there are plenty around but I wasn't able to find any in a quick search. Could someone send me some photos of the seatbox and how the standard Nissan seats attached? I'm not sure if it changed much, but I'm looking at 70s models.

Mine has been rather obviously modified and I'm looking to see how it should look if it was standard.

From what I see in your photo, there’s only minor changes, with an angle added at the front, and a couple of brackets at the rear.

You can check photos at the personal gallery of member 50car, that has numerous ones showing that part of the body:

The changes over the years are minor, and concept wise, both are the same (only two versions?) the battery cover changed, and maybe tge location of the hinges/brackets for the seats.

Like your videos by the way!!

The angle at the front and some additional sections at the back to match the bucket seats that were in there. I'm not sure what has been removed though :?

None of mine have original seats (the Fire truck did I think but for some reason I didnt take photos of the seatbox before I scrapped it), and the rest of mine are currently inaccessible to me due to Corona restrictions anyway.

In order to get it registered here, seat mods will need to be approved by an engineer. Not sure how hard that's going to be yet.

Thanks for the comment about the videos - just documenting how little I know about working on cars. :D
