Needed: Steering gearbox, shaft and wheel

Parts for sale, or free

Postby mad4hws » Thu May 21, 2020 6:31 pm

The Minion Missile is in need of a transplant. It's old steering rod and wheel are tired and their splines are no longer recognizable. I am in need of a new (old) steering gearbox/shaft assembly and steering wheel to complete this transplant. I believe any year will work, but the wheel has to be mated to the shaft/gearbox assembly.

If you think you can help me, please send me a PM.

thanks.

I’ve got a decent steering wheel (non Banjo) from a 69, It can be yours for shipping cost...
Also, just for general info, my “68-sold-as 69” with Banjo steering wheel, as well as my boneyard true 69 with “Plain-Jane” wheel have the same one-piece gearbox.

Thanks Mild Bill.

I spoke to CBlake today and I twisted his arm into parting with a gearbox/shaft and wheel assembly. So, I think I am all set. I'll post progress that Ann and I make on the Minion Missile thread. Should be back up and running in very short order.
