Hey Patrol Freaks ( : < )
Still looking for a nice original or restored-to-stock Patrol within a day's drive of NW Ohio to shoot for a magazine story. If unrestored, it needs to be presentable. If restored it needs to be mostly stock and correct. Thanks!

Re: How To - Valve Adjustment
Nice writeup and it's according to the factory. But there is another way that I have used almost exclusively in my 45 years of working on engines, including 20+ as an ASE Master Tech. Rotate the engine until you find the overlap on one cylinder. Overlap is the point on the exhaust stroke (engine rot...

Re: Off-Road Adventures, June 2013
Wish I'd had more space but I have plans for another article in another magazine. All I need is a good Patrol within reasonable driving distance of NW Ohio. It should be stock, or nearly so in the majority of ways, and in presentable condition. If any of you run into one, please PM me. I will be lur...

Re: 1978 Service Manual
My thanks too! The total geek in me loves manuals and always makes me want to wrench on something. Tonite, that will be a new-to-me John Deere combine... but I digress.

Thanks, Arizona. Interesting to see the differences late in the era.

Re: Ad for Pat's new Classic 4x4 Adventures Ep1
Looks nice! I've always thought that every demonstrated or self-professed 'wheeling "Pro" should spend a certain amount of stick time in a bare-bones, bone-stock 4x4 of yesteryear. Those who do will be granted humility and self respect. You have to work a whole lot harder achieving a lot l...

Re: February 1964 Four Wheeler
No... thank YOU...or at least one of your official reps, Leslie, who has already helped me past a passel of informational and image related problems relating to one of the stories I am working on about 60 Patrols. Also, I don't know why the articles above showed up out of order (I indeed posted them...

Re: Danette & Keith in Elkhart
Thanks for the info, folks. I had a funny thought this morning that trying to find a good Patrol to shoot, under the restrictions that I have to apply, is a lot like what photographers went thru trying to get pictures of the elusive Greta Garbo back in the day. Ok Garbo... off with the hat and the s...

Danette & Keith in Elkhart
I'm looking for a good, original Patrol in my general area (NW Ohio) to shoot for my "Backwards Glances" classic 4x4 column in Four Wheeler magazine. Leslie has been helping me alot but I wonder if Danette & Keith are members here or if anyone knows them? They are listed in the registr...
