Re: NT 60 Patrol hunting rig project

Gday RiverPatrol, yes it's got me stuffed that's for sure. It's pretty hot outside to work on the car at the moment but I will be taking the master cylinder out again later on and I want to check a few things. Good idea on the spring clip, it is in there but it may be loose enough to cause some trou...

Re: NT 60 Patrol hunting rig project

Thanks for the feedback Esteban . It's strange one this problem we're having. Never had this happen to me before (even when I used to work on old Alfa's and Fiat's, yep real sucker for punishment) but like you said it shouldn't be anything major that can't be fixed, just puzzling. But it is odd that...

Re: NT 60 Patrol hunting rig project

Gday there, thanks for the feedback and this will give us something to try when my partner in crime is back in town. My GF just can't seem to find the time to help me bleed hydraulics? funny that! at least we don't get any grief from all the old cars that seem to be sprouting up around the block lik...

Re: NT 60 Patrol hunting rig project

Cheers Mike, following up that lead  So anyway I better give an update on the red beast. We look like we have front brakes now. Because the rear brakes had been removed, well the plumbing at least, we had a little trouble with aeration in the lines. The rear brake line has been crimped over un...

Re: NT 60 Patrol hunting rig project

yep the black one will be good for some bits so we think it was worth it. What you cant see in the picture is the piles of possum poo Carpentaria palm seeds that was all though the thing. But having cleaned it mostly out there should be some good stuff to use on the red car.

Re: NT 60 Patrol hunting rig project

Yes, it had dried out enough for us to drag the new patrol out of the recycling yard on Sunday morning. Found out about it after a tip off I received and scored it for $100. It now rolls. There was a spare gearbox and transfer case in the back along with a pretty rusted up instrument panel that stil...

Re: NT 60 Patrol hunting rig project

Yep, we've got a 3rd old Patrol lined up for the weekend with a bit of luck, so between the GQ's and the 60's there will be 5 on the place.

Re: NT 60 Patrol hunting rig project

trying the pictures, here is one from picking up the last Patrol. The new one is still down at the yard, we had a decent storm last night and the ground was too soggy to get the forklift at it. Will try again on the weekend if we don't have any more rain.

Re: NT 60 Patrol hunting rig project

Yep they were some of my pictures! hahaha, looks like they've been on a bit of a trip to cyberspace and back  , I will keep trying, it's all a bit strange and i'm wondering if it's a connection issue or not. Strange things are happening though because I followed G60Michaels tips for posting mul...
