over all help needed!

Greetings and happy repairing, A lot of good points and discussion here, so my two cents worth: Instead of adding or changing springs, get your springs rebent. I live outside of columbus, Ga, and there is a metal working shop that did just that for me. $100 and it raised the old 69 4" and it ro...

Why is the Nissan Patrol is not abailable in the USA?

Back in the early 70's toyota and datsun/nissan had an agreement about who imports what. datsun/Nissan got the sports cars with the 240 and toyota got the jeeps with the fj 40's.   I've personally seen the 3956 engine in 1985 and 1996 nissan patrol in europe. same engine but different carb.   It' ...

These guys had the parts to me in 1 week exacted and I had the cylinders on 20 minutes after arrival. Worth every penny!   Frank  P.S. next time i'm o...

16" wheels

Would like to hear from all those who retrofitted their patrols to 16" wheels from 15"s. Since the earlier models had 16" and the laters were fitted with 15" I've been thinking of putting 16" back on just to give it that old fashion look.   Did you have any problems?   benef...

Where's 2 WD ?

I had the same thing happen to me when I got mine out of storage. Instead of taking off the cover I removed the detent bolts, they're the two bolts right above the lever shaft channels, and sprayed pentrating oil while gentling working the lever and then grease into. Watch out that you don't loose t...

Temperature sending unit

Went to the nissan dealer and they ordered it right up, there also an aftermarkert one piece sending unit which does not have/use the threaded sleeve of the original. $4 dollars cheaper, but I went ahead with the older originals.
