Re: 77 Patrol - Thinking of selling

About 15 minutes south Gosford / hour north of Sydney. Fixed the clutch today and have a spare brake master cylinder ready to install as the current one has a slow leak. Engine is rock solid, no real oil leaks. So much fun driving it again!

77 Patrol - Thinking of selling

So i'm thinking of selling our 77 patrol. It's a beauty, from Tasmania and currently in NSW under Tas rego. We have to move to the US for a little bit, and i've got no where to keep it. Just replaced the clutch master cylinder and have one for the brakes as there's a slow leak in one of the chambers...

Re: Clutch not working

So I just tried to replace the slave cylinder and and it was the wrong size. So I cleaned out the old one and put it back on. There were no leaks at all in the system that I could see, master cylinder was still full of fluid, theres just no pressure when you push down the pedal. So I'm going to atte...

Re: Clutch not working

By "isn't engaging" do you mean the clutch is always as if your foot is on it and pushing down, or always like your foot is NOT on it? John Meaning that when you push your foot down theres no pressure and it doesnt engage the clutch. ill try doing the slave cylinder and see if that helps ...

Re: Sealing te sunroof on a 77 Patrol

Thanks for the replys guys. Yeah, it's a pretty great example and it drives like a dream. I'll get some more photos of it and put them up when I can. It's completely stock from what I can tell with only the water pump & master vac giving away with the drive from tassie to sydney (with a good 8 h...

Re: Doors not locking?

I think you're right about 'A' being a spring in the wrong place. That could be jamming up the whole locking mechanism. Who ever locks their Patrol anyway? Most of us don't have the original door key to lock them with. :D I always just hope that it's so ugly no one will bother with it. Haha, that's...

Re: Doors not locking?

Lubricated linkages, but it seems like a different problem https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/55880845/patrol/lock-sml-NOTES.psd The locking mechanism in the door seems jammed somehow and as I won't get a chance to take the assembly out for a week or so, this is the best look I can get at it. A is ...

Doors not locking?

Hey, I was wondering, is it a common problem for Patrol doors to not lock? I figure that you're ment to push the handle forward to lock it, but neither of my doors hold, and the key in the drivers door locks it, but again won't hold it locked. Before I open the door up, I thought i'd ask if anyone k...
