Thanks, my '69 has the filler on the top left also. I appreciate the help.

I've just finished replacing the rear seal on my 69's transfer case, but the hole that I expected to be the fill hole (9/16 plug a few inches above the drain hole) is blocked by the internal 2 wheel / 4 wheel shift rod. Can anyone tell me how to fill this thing? 6X6

I've been following this discussion for some time. I have an original frame on my 69 but only homegrown top. I would be willing to post pics if I knew how and where. Would that help any? I would also be interested in a soft top, but price would be a deciding factor. 6X6

Does anyone have a rear brake adjuster for a "69?  I need the right, but think that the left and right are interchangable. Thx! 6x6, wapitibrowtine@yahoo.com

Grant, just thought that  I'd say thanks for all the time that you put in on the engine manual, and on this new one. Time, and concern for others, are at a premium these days.  You've earned an Attaboy!, at least. 6x6

Jorge, I have a 292 in my '69.  It does need a spacer/adapter (about 1/8" thick) and fabricated front motor mounts. The engine was already in there when I bought the Patrol, so I can't help with those details, but contact me, and I'll be happy to go through anything that I can to help. 6x6

I, for one, just use my Patrol for hunting.  As such it is far from rock climbing, but it always gets me there and back.  I couldn't speak for the big tires as I just have 235s on mine.  I do tend to agree that they are too rare to modify, but mine was already modified when I got it. Chev. 292. Obvi...
