Re: Green Machine for Sale
A day in the life of the 63 Patrol. I stopped once for a short walk. When we returned a guy was waiting for us with a big smile. He thought it was a Suzuki.... :snooty: He was all smiles. I explained and he was on his way. Patrolling in paradise, L60Boerne Man, this is my favorite Patrol build! How...

Re: I need help - engine
I have basically done nothing to the patrol over the last 10 months due to a big house renovation. I have gotten motivation and money in the last few months to get going again. The motivation came from my dad buying a Land Rover series 2a, it’s sweet but no patrol. Would love to get going on rides w...

Engine Rebuild
I’ve seen enough guys say the rebuild of the P engine is a good place to learn, so where we are. I’ve taken off rocker shaft assembly and push rods. And had taken out cylinder head bold when girls woke up from there nap and had to go back to parenting. Anyone have tips or things to watch out for wit...

Re: 69 patrol restoration and 350 Small Block Chevy install
If you go with the 350 it fits perfect. No hacking up the fire walls. I also went with 400r tranny for the overdrive and it cruises down the highway @ 75 no problems plus parts are much cheaper. One other thing I did was put Jeep axles under YJ axles under it so I could just shift into 4wd from ins...

Re: I need help - engine
I agree. I should have stayed with my gut and not ventured down that avenue. The idea of a Chevy engine made me uneasy. I think it’s cool but not for me. I’ll rebuild the P engine. I’ll continue my research. For now I’ll sit in the driver seat and dream of driving haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapa...

Re: I need help - engine
I have moved the patrol inside now and started looking around. Took the top of the motor and noticed a lot sludge and build up. I’m guessing from over heating. Also lots of debris in fuel filter. I pulled and cleaned the tank a year ago but hasn’t run much since what’s the remedy here? Also, I’m rea...
