my 66
I guess by the silence that there is no interest so I will sell it locally. I just thought it would be nice to see this excellent machine and the mass of quality parts in the hands of someone with a passion for Patrols. cheers.

Hi folks - Viking here. Many of you have given me great advice over the years. Thanks for that. However, this Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, boy is feeling just too isolated from the rest of you Patrol folks south of the line so is going to sell his baby and stick to his old flat fender jeeps. just post...

64 patrol on ebay wow
Hi gang. Did the fellow add some photos at the last moment? There are two there now of the engine and it sure looks like the real deal - have to agree that the body "feels" heavy with bondo and those rear tailights are not anywhere where they should be. That Military designation tag can't ...

So I set the valve lash hot and though the cold setting was off by a few thousand more than the .15 recommended, the difference was surisingly minor. Does not seem to have made any difference in terms of the elususive miss. The engine starts and runs very well otherwise. I did notice that the rocker ...

Put in a low pressure Carter in-line electric pump - 4 psi so no problems re pressure regulation. gas lines are new steel ones routed to insure no heat issues re potential vapour lock problems. lots of experience with that in my collection of old Willys and Ford army jeeps. I hope to get at the valv...

set the points at .17 and what a great improvement over my earlier .2! starts immediately - and has less of a miss. will get to the valves this coming weekend. Intake manifold leaks can sure cause a miss but my vacuum guage says that is not happening. I am curious about the mentioned connection betw...

my 67 has a miss that is driving me around the bend trying to eradicate - and hence my plea for the wisdom of those of greater experience, skill, training, gut instinct. The carburator is new but I did goof up by messing with the float adjustment. (before I installed an electric fuel pump which fixe...

rochestor carb
Thanks. I had the carb rebuilt near the start of this project but thought I had a float level problem due to a leaking needle valve so messed with the level - without measuring the factory setting first. Turns out that the fuel pump was not working properly - pressure too low - and that was causing ...

I have one of these on my 66. I had it rebuilt but the float level is clearly wrong as it keeps flooding and when I pull off the top of the carb, I can see that fuel is far too high in the bowl. my manual gives me al of the stats for the Hitachi but nothing for the Rochestor. anyone know the float l...
