Re: 2024 NSW lithgow trip

Oh! I forgot to mention if anyone would like to see video footage of this trip, head on over to YouTube and search for "G60 patrol garage"
That's Micks channel, click on the "video" tab and a whole bunch of episodes should come up.

cheers, RED DOG :animals-dogrun:

Re: 2024 NSW lithgow trip

Now on the 5th day of the trip, light had hardly broken for the day and Michael was the first person out of the swag, I assume he just couldn't sleep and must have been itching to get back into the drivers seat to explore some more country for the day  As most of you know he has a keen eye and ...

Re: 2024 NSW lithgow trip

Thanks for the comments much appreciated, yes we certainly test the capabilities of both driver and Patrol  I did try to resize the pictures for the next post, hopefully they appear better. We were up fairly early the next morning, the boys were commenting about the lack of brakes coming down t...

Re: 2023 Victoria High Country Meetup

Great story Mick, you wrote it well! was a big effort by everyone who made the trip, as always there are things to improve on or change but that's just the fun of it. to further Mick's story, my blue ute only had 1000km's on the freshly rebuilt motor so there were still some minor teething pr...

Re: RED DOG 79 ute build

thanks Esteban hopefully not too long now and I will be able to drive it, I've had the suspension bushes on the shelf from when my father had his g60, brand new bushes that he would have gotten back in the 1970's! Still wrapped in the original wax paper.

Re: RED DOG 79 ute build

well I decided the suspension bushes could do with a change so I got through all the shackles today, unfortunately I didn't get a pic as the rain was on and off all day, so tried to do as much as possible in between the showers. On the bright side I remembered to get a pic while i was adjusting the ...

Re: RED DOG 79 ute build

hi Peter60 Thanks mate, yep sure will need to take it on an adventure! Will drive it around close to home for a bit while I sort out any teething problems. The tyres are MRF super traction, cross ply tyres same as you would have had back in the day, and yes they do get a bit slippery in wet weather ...
