Re: Windshield Frame Rubber

Then there's the "Cat Lady Rule". If you have one cat, OK. If you have two, the second is there to keep the first one company while you're down at the bar most of the night. If you have three, you have crossed over into being a "Crazy Cat Lady", regardless of your gender. At that...

Re: Windshield Frame Rubber

Such impatience! They'll come next week.

This weekend is for fetching cars and stuff and recovery from travel.

Time to get on the road before the truck coughs up a hairball from being used to excess.

I bet she still runs on O'Keefe's Extra Old Stock if the fuel tank goes a little dry.

There's a reason the Canadians call that beer "high test".

It looks like she found a good home, Jeff.

Re: Patrol Roof available

I was finally able to get together with poinrobe yesterday. He was on vacation for the last couple weeks. I drove down to Boise, ID and took his spare roof off his hands. Very generous with his time and found we have a few things in common (old Triumph motorcycles, for one). I appreciate his time, k...

Re: Windshield Frame Rubber

Thanks to all for their suggestions. It has been a busy week in my 4WD world this week. Line up a mechanic to do a head gasket job on a 2000 Land Rover that has been taking up space in front of the shop. Then I either sell it or ........ Get the '71 Jeepster recommissioned. I have a complete spare e...

Re: Bucket Seats Options

Thanks for the info, folks. I will continue to look into these options, including simply making the stockers better. For now, getting it recommissioned and doing some stuff "below the waterline" means cosmetics and interior will have to wait.

Re: Need Parts for the Spare Engine

Hey, Jeff:

I bet I'm the guy who sold you one of your patrols about five or six years ago. I'm across from The Dalles. It was a faded red in color and I brought it down from Canada a few months before.

Did I get it right?

Re: Bucket Seats Options

Interesting idea. Leads me to wonder about Altimas and the like.

After I submitted the thread, I saw a stock seat recovered and rebuilt with a liberal use of foam rubber (the Mad Plaid). If proper bolsters and leather can be done on the stockers, mo' betta.

Re: Windshield Frame Rubber

Riv: I will take a look at hinge adjustment this week. Esteban: I know I will have to re-learn how to upload pics. It may take a few tries. I used to be able to do it with my digital camera, but the phone thing still has this old Luddite a bit on his heels. The rubber that's in place looks like it m...
