Couple of things it could be1 your clutch may not be disengaging properly and so is trying to drive the gears as you attempt to change to low2 ensure that you are in 4wd first as the t/case wont allow you to engage low while only in 2wdThe 4wd lever may appear to go into low but some of these have a...

confirming that the locker is an arb RD 71 If you do this mod the thrust piece has to be 5mm longer than the original one on the long axle side and you need to slice off 4.5 mm off the short axle as the spider gear centre is not in the same spot in relation to the old one ie its closer to the short ...

If you have info on getting a few more horses this would be good as I have a friend with stock engine The engine that came with the 5 speed has headers so will see the difference this makes as well That engine has holley 350 on it but I believe these flood at decent angles so it will have to come off

point taken on P vs P40 I remembered I also has to straighten pitman arm so that left and right lock was same as before i could turn hard left but not right I used c216 ie original axle housing and half shafts but c200 knuckles

Yes my current engine is a p40 The discs are off an mq and only front converted but reduced dia of rear wheel cylinders as per mq I bolted the knuckles off an mq c200 on to my g60 axle housing with the difference that mq has eccentric bearing housings on the swivel joints for caster/camber correcti...

My pto and winch are both thomas units which maybe an oz company will confirm locker number for you but need to go to my shed for that and its pissing down so will have to wait my g6o has arb locker on rear lifted about 4 inches pto winch gps air compressor with bullbar as air storage both sway bars...

I found a marks 5 speed mated to a p40 engine but had replaced the mq 4 speed and still had the mq t/case on it, this would have done me but I have a pto winch and this didnt bolt up to mq t/case so I let it slide.
