suspension lift

daner i appologize for the comment, i just re-read your post and saw that you called 6" long shackles rediculous and unsafe. i first interpreted it as 6" lifts are rediculous and unsafe. the wheeling i do requires more than 1 or 2 inches of lift which is why i have a spring over on my patr...

What do you do with your Patrol?

no, i mean 5+ as in 5 and over on the rubicon scale. watch the video on the rock crawl championship here in phx. i run trails like axle alley ,terminator , h2h ,woodpecker, ajax and so on. heard of any? you could call these extreme trails, broken parts abound, but thats part of the fun.

CJ Shackles?

probly the easiest to do, without all the mods and welding would be to give ALCAN SPRING out of california a call, sorry no #. they will make a set of new springs , any length/width/eye. you would be surprised on the price, their price was better than the new ones i bought for my cruiser, but it was...

CJ Shackles?

no they wont fit, cj as all jeeps have much narrower leaves, unfortunately nothing off the shelf will fit because of the greasable feature on the nissan. you have to remove the metal bushings from the spring eyes, then you can use chevy or lancruiser aftermarket poly parts. i have landcruiser poly b...

5.0 swap and more questions

i have a 5.0 in mine, but i prefer to call it a 302. what do ya need to know? other than its real tight and requires you to swap out axles unless you can get a whole eng/tranny/case from a truck with a dana 18 case. like early bronco. i think a 300 6 would be a better swap. more torque than a 302 an...
