Any Toyota 4x4 rim with a 6 stud pattern (4 Runner, Land Cruiser or Tacoma/Truck) will work on a Patrol. Darren.

mark's 5 speed no longer available

The 5 speed Mark's used was out of a Nissan Caball truck. I must admit that they are hard to find as well but if Mark's still have the bell housings you maybe able to source a tranny. Try a UD dealer as UD is the heavy truck line for Nissan much like Fuso is for Mitsubishi. Darren.

Poor mileage? Try this:

You will find if you do run NGK BP6ES spark plugs the truck should run a lot better. I used all sorts of "aftermarket" plugs in my 60 and found getting the "original equipment" was better off. Call your Nissan dealer as this plug was run in quite a few different motors. If you ar...

Pointless ignition

The coil pack system works really well if you can set it up right. Toyota uses a similar system using a crank position sensor and coils for eack plug. As for using a dissy out of a Z or anything else with the "L" series engine will not work. The drive is different as the "P" moto...

Wheel Locks

Gareth, Sorry I didn't reply earlier as my computer is acting up. I answer to your question you can run your Patrol with the hubs locked in. As viking pointed out all the Free Wheeling hubs do is disconnect the front wheels from the front drive train. Most 4x4's in the 60's and early 70's didn't hav...

NEED A distributor for my 63 patrol

I checked into seeing if a new distributor was still availible through our Nissan dealer and it looks like it is. The cost is $257.91 plus 7.75 % tax and I could more than likely send it to you free of charge. Call me at work on 1-800-548-4500. I am at Toyota of El Cajon in San Diego. Darren.

Being that is was involved with the Nissan Club in Victoria, Australia, I may be able to shed some light on this matter. All the clubs in Australia have an "umbrella" organisation for the state they are in. Our club was a member of the Victorian Association of Four Wheel drive Clubs (VAFWC...

All the lights on your dash are hooked up to a sensor or sensors for that system (abs, air bags ect...). When you first turn the key to "ON" the computer reads all the sensors to make sure everything is working ok and as it scans the sensors throughout your vehicle the lights will go out. ...

Another thought on Patrol Brakes.

I think your on the right track Gary. Back in Australia my Dad converted his 1970 G60 single cylinder no booster system to a vac assist dual cylinder set up off a later model. Seeing as we don't have that luxury over here maybe a dual cylinder and vac booster of a 40 or 55 series Landcruiser may wor...

Locking Diffs

G'day Richard, It's so cool that you live in Tallangatta as I lived in Wodonga for a short while. It's so great to go bush in the "Snowy River" area. I don't know who you have tried as far as looking for diff locks but if I remember the only one that was available for the 60 was a Detroit ...
